Draw the object using only straight lines. No curves allowed.

Curves are easy to fake. A wobbly curve still reads as a curve, so your brain lets you get away with sloppy observation. Straight lines don’t offer that cover—you have to actually decide where each segment starts and ends. It forces you to measure, compare, and re-describe a shape you’ve now drawn four times, which is exactly when you start seeing it properly.
